The community is now open to new members.

Question: The community is currently accepting only three kinds of tags (besides "admin"): fandom, author, artist, and genre. Do you think this is sufficient, or would it be better to have pairing or character tags as well? Or some other tags? Open to suggestions!

I would suggest an "original genre" tag.

How so? What would that signify? No - all genres, even ones that don't necessarily have a nickname but are recognizable, would be acceptable; you'd just have to name it so people recognize it. Like, I don't know, a werewolf romance? You wouldn't necessarily have to separate it with another tag.

I meant the original genre of the story (before it was twisted). For example, if you had one story with Star Wars as a Harlequin romance, Star Trek as a comedy of manners, and Battlestar Galactica as a superhero comic, those are all space operas twisted into something else. Does that make more sense?

Oh, right! I see what you mean. Someone might want to specifically search for twists on Penny Dreadfuls, for example. Not a bad idea!
